The TRHF broke ground on the facility in November 2024, as previously reported.
What happened
Community leaders, city officials and project partners gathered to celebrate the near completion of the building, which will soon be a hub for health, education and nonprofit support in the Tomball area, TRHF CEO Jeffrey Klein said.
“This is not just our building—it’s yours,” Klein said. “Whether you’re with TOMAGWA or another community partner, your organization’s name is on this wall.”
Attendees were asked to sign the beams holding the structure together to symbolize the community that the building helps to impact further, giving attendees a chance to physically leave their mark on the structure.
Why it matters
Klein said only a quarter of the building will be used for administration. The rest will house a learning center and shared spaces designed to support local nonprofits and community groups and outside facilities, including a fishing pond, walking trails and fitness areas.
The center aims to provide nonprofit leaders with professional training, resources and event space to help expand their reach, Klein said.
“What we want to be is the organization that helps you build capacity within your organization to be better than you are now,” Klein said.
By the numbers
Klein said the completion is slated for late November, with the office move-in scheduled for January 2026.
- The main learning center will seat 120 and can be divided into smaller rooms
- A 1/3-mile walking loop will feature 8-foot-wide concrete paths
- Outdoor features include a fishing pond, mobility exercise stations and birding areas
- 11 graduate students from Texas A&M will help design community programming
- “We are in the ‘needs business,’” Mayor Lori Klein Quinn said. “And this building will help meet many of those needs for years to come.”
- “This organization has already made such a positive impact without a permanent home,” Paradigm Construction CEO Dustin Hall said. “This building will only expand that impact.”
