From vintage video games, gardening and handcrafted furniture, Tomball-Magnolia has a variety of businesses to visit. Here are some of the businesses highlighted in the Tomball/Magnolia edition of Community Impact in 2025.

1. Quicksave Games and Collectables

Quicksave Games and Collectibles moved into its spot on West Main Street in Tomball almost two years ago. Known for its retro video games, trading card games and community events, owners Taylor and Kayla Krinkie said they’ve grown to a point where they’ll need to move into a bigger store.2. Vego Garden

To Robert Xiong, gardening is not only a method of relaxation but a lifestyle and skill that promotes food quality. Xiong said he opened his own gardening business, Vego Garden, in July 2020 to facilitate gardening for the average gardener and help gardeners grow their own food.3. Fins Swim School

FINS Swim School CEO Liam Goudeket said swimming is a life skill that should be taught to children at a young age to avoid accidents. It’s also a skill that requires consistent practice to prevent regression. “Drowning is the number one cause of accidental death for children under 5, so we saw a need in the community and an opportunity as a business,” he said.4. Potted Nursery


After five years of operating a landscaping business and years of self-taught gardening, Alex Drisaldi planted new roots with Potted Nursery in December 2024. Co-owned by Drisaldi and Charles Shockey, the indoor plant nursery specializes in rare plants imported globally.5. Chosen Farm and Sawmill

Joey Jamison said he was reminded of his faith in 2019 after a multiple-vehicle accident left him nearly immobile, leaving his vertebrae shattered in five places and his faith shaken. A year into his recovery, still battling excruciating pain, he turned to prayer and asked God for healing. By morning, Jamison said the pain was miraculously gone. He said his experience renewed his faith and reshaped his purpose. Today, he owns Chosen Farm and Sawmill, a sawmill company founded in 2022 that transforms discarded trees into handcrafted furniture, using the proceeds to help those in need while dedicating his days to worship and gratitude.
