Quote of note

“We are thrilled to be bringing Costco’s low warehouse prices to the residents of Tomball,” Warehouse Manager Jeremiah Sorensen said via news release. “They have been asking us to open here for a long time, and we already have made an impact on the local job market. We look forward to contributing to the community in many ways.”

The backstory

The retailer filed its permit for the Tomball location in September 2022, Community Impact previously reported. Several months later, in November 2022, Tomball City Council approved $6 million in economic incentives for Costco to offset infrastructure costs.

Costco broke ground on this location last December, according to prior reporting.
