Laramie and Co., located at 412A W. Main St., Tomball, opened April 11, owner Terra Rabel said via email June 9.

The business held a grand opening event May 20, Rabel said.

“The best part had to be my mom and two of my sisters flying in from Wyoming and South Dakota to surprise me and congratulate me on my accomplishment,” Rabel said. “This hasn't been an easy road. It was a big celebration with food, drinks and discounts.”

Rabel opened Laramie and Co. after splitting with her business partner with whom she owned Blue Buffalo Mercantile in Old Town Spring before it closed.

“After several years of wanting to have my business here in Tomball, it finally happened,” Rabel said. “I live in Pinehurst, so I love the fact that my business is in the same community that I live in. Community is what really attracted me to this area. Everyone is so kind and so supportive, and I have really realized that even more since moving to town.”

Laramie and Co. offers women’s and children’s clothing as well as items such as candles and coffee, Rabel said.

“I tend to lean more towards the Western industry but also sell your everyday trendy items,” Rabel said. “I have been known for my children's clothing line, which mainly consists of trendy bell-bottom outfits, graphic tees, newborn outfits and accessories. About 50% of my products are made in-house by local businesses whom I buy wholesale from.”
