The Tomball Business and Technology Park was ranked the 10th best industrial park in the nation by Business Facilities in its 17th annual rankings report, according to a July 28 news release. The park spans 99.5 acres at the corner of Holderrieth and Hufsmith-Kohrville roads and is run by the Tomball Economic Development Corp.

“The TEDC’s vision has been to create an environment where businesses grow and thrive,” TEDC Executive Director Kelly Violette said in the release. “It is an honor to receive this recognition from Business Facilities, which validates the vision and hard work of everyone involved with the park.”

The industrial park is home to the U.S. headquarters of JDR Cable Systems and the corporate headquarters of Kinsley Armelle, a jewelry company, according to the release, among other businesses. Community Impact Newspaper previously reported the business park is also the future location of Paradigm Brewing Co., co-owned by Chris Juergen, a Tomball native and former brewmaster of Houston's Karbach Brewing Co.

The park’s growth has coincided with Tomball’s improved connectivity to the Houston-area, according to Business Facilities.

“Due to the expanded Tomball Parkway and recently completed Grand Parkway, along with nearby Beltway 8 and [I-45], Tomball businesses can quickly reach key transportation hubs,” the report said.

The Business and Technology Park, a $13 million endeavor, opened in 2016, according to previous Community Impact Newspaper reporting.
