Updated May 10, 11:48 a.m. The Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management released a list of roads experiencing high water conditions as of 10:30 a.m. Friday. Roadways and intersections listed as impassable in The Woodlands area include Needham Road and River Oaks Drive and the Grand Parkway and Imperial Promenade Drive in Spring. The emergency management office also listed several passable areas with high water conditions including 9311 Carraway Lane in Magnolia and Guadalupe River Boulevard, Pecos River Drive and Aldine Westfield and Rayford roads in Spring. Updated May 10, 10:18 a.m. Montgomery County Northstar updated the status of several high water locations around the south county area at 10 a.m. Friday. In Spring, conditions around Aldine Westfield Road near Rayford Road and at Guadalupe River Boulevard and Pecos River Drive were listed as passable, while high water near the Grand Parkway and Imperial Promenade Drive in Spring remained impassable with barriers in place. In The Woodlands, passable high water was marked at two locations in the Village of Sterling Ridge along Players Bend Drive. In Conroe, east of the Village of College Park, high water at Needham Road and River Oaks Drive off of Hwy. 242 remained impassable. May 10, 9:26 a.m. High water spots have been marked around The Woodlands on May 10 by Montgomery County Northstar and Houston TranStar. Northstar reported impassable high water locations at several spots near the Grand Parkway in Spring. The traffic operations department reported between 3 to 5 inches of water around Aldine Westfield Road near Rayford Road and "water up to windows on vehicles" near Guadalupe River Boulevard and Pecos River Drive. TranStar reported three Grand Parkway frontage road lanes were experiencing high water around Townsen Boulevard and Imperial Promenande Drive in Spring. Northstar also reported impassable high water conditions off of Hwy. 242 in Conroe at Needham Road and River Oaks Drive. Passable conditions with water over the curb were reported off of Woodlands Parkway on Players Bend Drive in The Woodlands, although the traffic department noted smaller cars may have issues in that area.
