Two Montgomery County Precinct 3 intersection projects wrapped up in late 2020.

Grogan’s Mill Road intersection improvements

A second left turn lane for traffic was created at three directions of the intersection of Grogan’s Mill Road and South Millbend Drive. The dual left turn lanes opened in mid-December. The final stages of work included filling median areas, placing pavement markings and removing temporary poles.

Timeline: September-late 2020

Cost: $1.54 million (engineering and design)

Signal at New Trails Drive and Technology Forest Boulevard

The project added a traffic signal at New Trails Drive and Technology Forest Boulevard. Technology Forest was widened to accommodate a right-turn-only lane and a straight or left-turn lane in each direction at the intersection with New Trails. The project also added a crosswalk.

Cost: $210,203 (includes signal at Cochran’s Crossing and Bay Branch drives)
