Sam Houston State University in Huntsville will be closed through Monday, Sept. 4, according to Julia May, SHSU associate director of communications and public information officer. Classes are set to resume Sept. 5. Conroe ISD will be closed through Monday, Sept. 4, due to hazardous weather and flooding, Administrative Director of Communications Sarah Wood said. School will resume Sept. 5. Check CISD's Facebook page for more updates. Lone Star College System announced it will be closed through Monday, Sept. 4, according to Media Relations Manager Bill Van Rysdam. Registration, payment and financial aid requirement deadlines will be delayed until Wednesday evening, Sept. 6. Check LSCS's Facebook page for more information. The John Cooper School in The Woodlands will be closed through Friday, Sept. 1, said yearbook adviser Lynn Boeding. School will be back in session Tuesday, Sept. 5.
