1. The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce’s 31st annual Taste of the Town event will take place Thursday at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. The culinary event features appetizers, entrees, desserts, pastries and beverages from the area’s finest restaurants, bakeries and beverage companies. $30 (online), $35 (at the door).

2. Carlo’s Bake Shop will open a kiosk on the first floor of The Woodlands Mall at 1201 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, on Feb. 18. The bakery, made famous by the television show, “Cake Boss,” will sell baked goods, including cupcakes, cookies and pastries.

Shenandoah City Council will have a workshop Wednesday at 6 p.m. to discuss crime in the area, modifications to sign ordinances for open house signs, a digital advertising partnership with The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and Live Nation, and the replacement of community signs. 4. Teenagers between the ages of 13 and 18 can showcase their singing, dancing, comedy, magic and acting talents during the Arts in the Park celebration from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday at Rob Fleming Park. The Teen Talent Show is an addition to the popular Arts in the Park event that features local artists selling their original artwork, a Kids’ Zone and live performances for the whole family. Concessions will be available for purchase from food trucks, featuring a variety of cuisines.
