The details
Following passage of the county's $480 million bond issue on May 3, commissioners will discuss potential financing plans to begin work on road bond projects as soon as possible. Following discussions on May 13, commissioners may consider a resolution to begin working on the first $120 million in bond projects in advance of when the actual bond proceeds will be received by the county in July.
Commissioners will also discuss additional details on the Property Assessed Clean Energy Program, which was initially authorized on March 25. The PACE program is a financing initiative provided through the state legislature and the Texas Comptroller's Office, which allows for commercial property owners to apply for long-term loans to upgrade energy and water infrastructure.
What else?
In Precinct 4, commissioners will also discuss the purchase of 23790 Park Drive in New Caney for $50,000, which would benefit the East Montgomery County Sports Association, according to the agenda.
The meeting will be held May 27 at 9:30 a.m. at 501 N. Thompson St., Ste. 402 in Conroe. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the county's website.
