Shenandoah Finance Director Lisa Wasner presented to council purchases from the equipment replacement fund. The items are for the Shenandoah Police Department and the department of public works, as seen in the agenda packet.
The items including the following for a total of $28,354.44:
- 30 Tasers - $28,354.44
- Bulletproof vest - $2,402.50
- Mary Pat Pool building roof - $10,500

Wasner also presented a mid-year financial report that included the major revenue of the past six months from the city’s Hotel Occupancy Tax collections. There are currently 13 hotels and motels in Shenandoah that pay a 7% tax.
In the presentation, the city has received in the past six months the following HOT collections from hotels:
