Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough announced Janna Hoglund as the new library director for the Montgomery County Memorial Library System in a March 18 social media post.

Previously serving as director of the Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library, Hoglund was appointed to the position by Keough on March 18, and she will take over immediately, Keough said. Hoglund has previously served in several positions in the Tomball area, including on the boards for:
  • Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce
  • Tomball Education Foundation
  • Tomball Regional Health Foundation
Hoglund's hiring comes after the previous library director was terminated due to concerns regarding the availability and quality of conservative and LGBTQ+ literature in the public library system.
