May marks Bike Month in The Woodlands, with The Woodlands Township and the Bike The Woodlands Coalition partnering on a variety of events, including group rides, educational sessions and get-togethers.
The details
Registration is required for most events, and for riding events, participants must register, wear helmets and sign waivers, according to a news release. Minors must be accompanied by an adult for riding events. Event details are subject to change.
Bike Month commemorative shirts are available for pickup by those who register for one or more events on a first-come, first-served basis at the Bike The Woodlands Day event on May 16.
Participants in the Bike Month Ride Challenge from May 1-15 can log their miles to compete for an award.
In addition, a video published by The Woodlands Township on May 1 highlights the need for bike helmet safety.
