Leadership Montgomery County will hold its fourth annual Montgomery County Leadership Summit at the new Kevin Brady Library and Community Center on Sept. 19, featuring a lineup of area experts and professionals to speak about topics like growth and service. The event concludes with a special awards luncheon featuring Sen. Brandon Creighton, who represents Texas Senate District 4. He will be honored as an LMC honorary alumnus, a recognition that has only been awarded by LMC six times in its 38 years of existence, according to a news release.

The grand opening of the village center showcases new amenities including the Kevin Brady Library and Community Center. Events will include public safety demonstrations, storytelling, face painting, a live DJ, games, the weekly farmers market, and a special appearance by Marcus Bridgewater, who will present a reading from his children's book "See Marcus Grow" at 10:30 a.m., followed by a book signing inside the library.
