Several outdoor activities, a Labor Day Festival and live music are planned this weekend in The Woodlands area, Aug. 29-31. Here are a few events to check out. This list is not comprehensive, and events are subject to change.

Heights at Texas TreeVentures

Participate in the Friday Night Heights at Texas TreeVentures. The three-level course tests participants' skills in an environment with nearly 100 elements.Starlight Swans and Moonlight Paddle

Attendees can experience Lake Woodlands after dark on kayaks decorated with lights at staff-led Moonlight Paddle. Kayaking experience is recommended but not required. Starlight Swans offers four-person swan boat rides. Preregistration is required at Riva Row Boat House’s website and a number of time slots are available.

The Woodlands Farmers Market


The weekly farmers market is held in Grogan's Mill Village Center. Local vendors share their wares, fresh produce and handmade goods.Labor Day Festival

Attendees can celebrate the end of summer at Waterway Square with an event featuring live music, children’s activities, face painting, balloon art, a pie eating contest and a fireworks display.
