Historical marker dedication ceremony

The city of Shenandoah will unveil a Montgomery County Historical Commission marker recognizing Shenandoah's five decades of history in a ceremony at the municipal complex.

Worth the trip: Outrun Hunger 5K

Fight hunger by participating in the Montgomery County Food Bank's annual Outrun Hunger event featuring a 5K Trail Run and 1K color dash presented by H-E-B. Proceeds benefit the Montgomery County Food Bank's programs for children, seniors, and families facing hunger in Montgomery County.

Participants can visit Fire Station No. 3 and experience lights and sirens, and explore a fire truck and police vehicle.Flag Day

The city of Shenandoah and the Sons of the American Revolution Freedom Chapter will observe Flag Day and the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army in a ceremony at Veterans Point at Vision Park.

Waterway Nights

The free concert series in Waterway Square presents live music with Time Warp, featuring '80s, '90s and current hits. Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted, but glass is prohibited. Concerts are subject to cancelation due to weather or other factors, according to The Woodlands Township.
