This weekend, March 14-16, activities in The Woodlands area include a fishing derby and a pair of free concerts. This list is not comprehensive. Events are subject to change.

18th Annual Creekwood Fishing Derby

Participate in the annual Fishing Derby featuring prizes for the longest and heaviest fish caught. T-shirts will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.Art in The Woods

Ardest Gallery holds a monthly art market with works by local artists. During the March market the gallery will also hold a special event in conjunction with National Children's Craft Day. Throughout the day, the gallery will have drop-in "make and take" art/craft opportunities, activities provided by The Woodlands Arts Council and The Children's Museum, and artist demos.

Waterway Nights

The free concert series in Waterway Square presents an evening of reggae, Calypso and other styles of music from the Tropical Steelpan Orchestra. Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted, but glass is prohibited. Concerts are subject to cancelation due to weather or other factors, according to The Woodlands Township.Puzzle Palooza


Teams work together to complete a 500-piece puzzle. Teams are limited to four individuals.Concert in the Park

The Harris County Band will perform as part of the Concert in the Park series at Northshore Park. Attendees can bring coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs, but glass is prohibited. Snow cones are available for purchase.
