Election day is May 2 in The Woodlands area for several races in Shenandoah and Oak Ridge North, as well as the seat representing Texas Senate District 4.
On May 2, voting will be held from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. in Montgomery County at several polling sites. Voters must cast their votes in the precinct where they are registered in Montgomery County on election day. Sample ballots can be found here.
Harris County voters can cast their ballot at any polling location. Visit www.harrisvotes.com for polling locations.
Shenandoah City Council
Residents will see Shenandoah council Positions 1 and 5 on the ballot along with the race for mayor, according to the city of Shenandoah’s election website. Incumbent Ron Raymaker is not seeking reelection for Position 1.
For the mayoral race, candidates are:
- John Escoto, incumbent
- Ron Raymaker
Candidates for Position 1 are:
- Gary Henson
- Ernest N. Sumrall
Candidates for Position 5 are:
- Frank Robinson, incumbent
- David Teague
Oak Ridge North City Council
Residents will see Oak Ridge North City Council Places 1 and 2 on the ballot, along with the race for mayor. City Council incumbents Rick Moffatt and Alex Jones are running uncontested, according to the city of Oak Ridge North’s election website.
For the mayoral race, candidates are:
- Paul Bond, incumbent
- Russell S. Dudley
Texas Senate District 4
Brandon Creighton vacated the seat after being named the chancellor and CEO of the Texas Tech University System. Candidates for the District 4 seat are:
- Ron Angeletti (D)
- Brett W. Ligon (R)
