The period for candidates to file to run for positions on The Woodlands Township board of directors and the Conroe ISD board of trustees opens on July 20 for the November ballot.

What you need to know

Conroe ISD and The Woodlands Township board will each have four positions available on the Nov. 5 ballot.

The positions on the ballot are:

• Conroe ISD: Board of trustees four-year positions 4, 5, 6, and 7
• The Woodlands Township: Board of directors two-year positions 1, 2, 3 and 4

Candidates will have until Aug. 19 to file for candidacy, or until Aug. 23 if an individual chooses to run as a write-in candidate.

What else?

Individuals interested in running for any of the above positions may file with the respective government agency. Conroe ISD offices will be closed on July 20, and individuals can turn in applications starting on July 22.
