With all votes in, Mark Keough won the Republican primary for Montgomery County judge with 66.11% of the vote on March 1, or 43,390 votes. Challengers Sara Countryman and Billy Graff received 10,631 and 11,613 votes, respectively.
There was no Democratic challenger in the race.
On election night Keough posted an update on his Facebook page announcing his expectation to win.

Mark Keough was poised to retain his seat for a second term as Montgomery County judge at the end of primary election day, March 1, with 66.12% of votes cast, defeating challengers Sara Countryman and Billy Graff.
As he is unopposed by a Democratic candidate, Keough acknowledged that he will presumably retain his position, but he said he will still campaign this fall.
“I’m very excited about what is taking place,” Keough said in a phone call on election night. “The people have spoken. ... We’ve all been through a lot together and have come out on the right side of things. I’m so thankful that the people are encouraged by that and came out to vote. I give all credit to the Lord.”
With 107 of 111 election day precincts reporting, Keough received 42,652 votes in the election; Countryman received 16.21%, of 10,453 votes; and Graff received 17.67%, or 11,399 of votes.

Early voting results in the Republican race for Montgomery County judge show incumbent Mark Keough taking a commanding early lead in the March 1 primary election. Early voting results include absentee votes.
As previously reported by Community Impact Newspaper, three candidates are vying for the position of Montgomery County judge in the March primaries. The winner will be on the ballot in the November general election.
Mark Keough received 66.5%, or 25,618 early votes; Sara Countryman received 15.53%, or 5,985 early votes; and Billy Graff received 17.97%, or 6,923 early votes.
Keough first assumed the role of judge in 2019, having previously served as representative for District 15 in the Texas House of Representatives. He was elected to the House in 2014. Before seeking political office, he worked in the automotive industry and as a minister, Community Impact Newspaper previously reported.
Countryman, an IT sales executive, is the current mayor of the city of Montgomery.
Graff, president of IConnect outreach Inc., said he was previously the Montgomery County Republican Party committee chair and liaison with federal, state and county officials.
The county judge is elected to a four-year term.
