The Woodlands Family YMCA will be expanding its afterschool program at school campuses in partnership with Conroe ISD, according to an Aug. 12 news release from the YMCA.

The gist

The YMCA will open a site on the Conroe campuses in phases, according to the release. Care is provided from school dismissal through 6:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, according to the release.

The program is currently at the following schools:
  • Rice Elementary School
  • Giesinger Elementary School
  • Gordon Reed Elementary School
  • San Jacinto Elementary School
  • Stewart Elementary School
Each site must demonstrate viability with a minimum of 15 to 20 students expressing interest in order to proceed, according to the release.

"We need your support in promoting this survey out to the families at the below schools, as this will be key in determining whether the program can be offered at your campus," said Roxanne Davis, ambassador for The Woodlands Family YMCA.
