At the June 24 meeting, CISD Chief Financial Officer Karen Garza presented the 2025-26 compensation plan, which includes 6% raises for teachers and staff and a 4% raise for police and other administrative positions, as previously reported by Community Impact.
The following recommendations totaling $33.1 million were made for CISD's 2025-26 budget:
- $20.5 million for a 6% increase to the teacher pay scale
- $6.2 million for a 6% raise for administrative support, instructional support and auxiliary staff
- $300,000 for a 4% raise for district police
- $6.1 million for a 4% raise for administrative business, administrative education and technology staff
The board will be discussing the proposed rezoning recommendations for the Timber Mills feeder zone, including for the elementary, junior high and high schools opening in 2027. The board previously discussed the initial proposals at the March 19 meeting.
