A variety of projects are underway in Tomball ISD, including the construction of new schools. The projects listed below are all part of TISD's $494.46 bond package that was passed in 2021.

Creekside Park Junior High School

Project: A fifth grade section will be added to the existing CPJH school for a cost of $39 million.

Update: This project is being designed and permitted, according to an Aug. 14 email from Jim Ross, director of construction for TISD’s 2021 bond.

West Intermediate School

Project: With a price tag of $45.9 million, the school will measure 115,000 square feet.


Update: Construction is ongoing and on schedule, Ross said.

West High School

Project: The 542,000-square-foot high school has a construction budget of $241.2 million, according to prior reporting.

Tomball Innovation Center

Project: Remaining work includes relocating on-site detention and site development for a cost of $4.5 million. The property also houses Tomball Star Academy and the district’s agricultural center.


Update: Construction is ongoing and on track for a December opening, Ross said.

Tomball High School renovations

Project: Renovations of the cafeteria were completed for $4.5 million while $10 million will be invested in renovating the school’s career and technical education classrooms in the site’s former agriculture center.

Update: The cafeteria is now open while construction for the CTE classrooms is ongoing, Ross said.
