Monarca, a new Mexican restaurant, will open in Creekside Park Village Green in spring 2023, according to a news release from The Howard Hughes Corporation.

The name of the restaurant is Spanish for "monarch," and the restaurant aims to embody the spirit of Mexican culture through its food, drinks and decor.

“The idea with Monarca is to capture the spirit of the Mexican culture in the food, drinks and decor—to wrap a warm blanket around you and make you feel at home. We call it multigenerational cozy,” Monarca owner Mauricio Guerra said in the release. “Our food is not to be confused with Tex-Mex. We will offer a Mexican-inspired culinary experience."

Creekside Park Village Green is located at 26400 Kuykendahl Road in The Woodlands.
