Metropark Square Shopping Center under new ownership in Shenandoah

Daniel Moon, vice president of Sam Moon Group, confirmed to Community Impact via email Oct. 16 that the developer recently sold the Metropark Square Shopping Center, which it began work on in 2017.

Information from Montgomery Central Appraisal District shows that the deeds for four parcels on Metropark Drive, Shenandoah, were sold to Mubarak Real Estate LLC by Moon Real Estate Holdings and Metropark Square Ltd. as of Sept. 15.

According to information from MCAD, Sam Moon still owns some land to the east of the properties.

The backstory

According to information from Sam Moon Group, the 175,000-square-foot shopping center is situated on 70 acres and home to a number of restaurants, retail and entertainment venues.

Among the openings in recent years are:

AMC Theatres, which opened in 2019
Dave and Buster's, which was renovated in 2024
Escapology, which opened in 2024
Brkthrough, which opened in 2025
Kyuramen and Tbaar, which opened in 2024
Hyatt House, which opened in 2021
