After suspending service in March, The Woodlands Township will resume Town Center Trolley service July 1, according to a township news release.

All four township trolleys will operate on their usual schedules seven days a week. However, capacity will be reduced to 17 passengers, about half of the usual 35. As part of the township's COVID-19 safety measures, trolleys will be wiped with disinfectant regularly throughout the day and will undergo a thorough disinfection process at the end of each service day, according to the township. Drivers will also be required to wear face coverings. The township release stated passengers are highly encouraged to wear face coverings.

An app is available to passengers who want to track the trolleys' location in real time. The trolleys provide services on a 4.1-mile route, which includes The Woodlands Mall, Market Street, Town Center, The Woodlands Waterway and Hughes Landing.

Additional information is available at www.woodlandstransit.com or by calling 281-210-3800.

The service is the latest township amenity to reopen to the public. Several township pools also reopened in June, although closures due to positive COVID-19 tests have caused two to close temporarily.
