Huntsman Corp., a global chemical solutions company based in The Woodlands, is ramping up its production of hand sanitizer for Switzerland following an appeal by Swiss authorities.
According to a March 23 press release from Huntsman Corp., it will begin making hydroalcoholic solution to produce hand sanitizer in the Swiss Canton of Vaud and the General Hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Huntsman plans to produce and donate 50 tons of hand sanitizer to hospitals and pharmacies, with the first shipment of 5 tons expected to be delivered immediately. Future production is anticipated to amount to 3-5 tons of sanitizer per week. The company will continue to monitor domestic needs
