Brookestone Construction was brought on as the construction manager for the new fire station in The Woodlands and renovations to the Emergency Training Center on July 26.

The details

The Woodlands Township is preparing to construct a new Fire Station No. 5 near the Sterling Ridge Park and Ride at 8001 McBeth Way, The Woodlands, as well as perform some upgrades to the current Emergency Training Center on I-45.

After approving $13 million for construction work on both projects in January, the township worked with Martinez Architects to provide design concepts for both projects.

“The project building committee met with all of [the applicants], did interviews with three of them, and they've selected Brookestone as the person who we would like to start negotiation and contract to become our construction manager for both projects, and our recommendation is that we engage those negotiations with Bridgestone,” Fire Chief Palmer Buck said during the July 26 meeting.
