Two-minute impact
The new comprehensive care center will house 22 doctors across multiple areas of practice, including:
- Primary care
- Orthopedics
- Gastroenterology
- OB/GYN
Nathan Jacobs, vice president of operations over Houston Methodist Hospital System, said the purpose of the new facility was to create a central location for families to visit to meet nearly all of their medical needs
"This center marks an exciting milestone in our vision for the future of health care," Jacobs said. "It's not just about expanding our services. It's about reimagining how we deliver care. What we're striving to do is to make health care more convenient and accessible than it ever has been before, whether it's primary care or specialized treatments, we want patients to have everything they need in a convenient, comfortable location."
What else?
Patients will check in through a touch screen terminal system, which will then notify doctors and nurses the patient has arrived for their visit.
The facility includes a new ambient listening technology, which will be used by doctors to help keep track of medical notes and allow more face-to-face time with patients, said Dr. Juan Carlos Rozo, who will serve as director of cardiology at the center.
"This place is designed to make healthcare easier, faster and more personal," Dr. Rozo said "This technology has been a game changer. I get to spend more time with my patients and less time writing."
Houston Methodist Comprehensive Care-Creekside is now open to the public, and it is located at 26424 Strake Drive, Spring.
