Howard Hughes on Aug. 30 announced CB&I will relocate its regional and global headquarters to Hughes Landing in The Woodlands beginning in September. CB&I, a wholly owned subsidiary of McDermott, is a 135-year-old company which designs and builds energy-related storage facilities, tanks and terminals, according to a news release.

The new location will:
  • Occupy 43,000 square feet
  • Include more than 150 of the company’s 4,000 global employees
The background

CB&I previously headquartered in what is now Lake Front North in Hughes Landing from 2001 to 2018, and relocated to another Houston area site after a merger with McDermott in 2018, according to the news release.

The company is known as the original designer and builder of elevated water storage tanks seen throughout the country, according to the news release.
