A number of new restaurant and entertainment options are coming to the city of Shenandoah in areas such as Metropark Square and the Sam Moon Shopping Center along with some new openings in areas such as the Portofino Shopping Center. By the end of 2024, the area could see three new entertainment venues, according to the current schedule.

John Mayner, director of Visit Shenandoah, the city's convention and visitors bureau, said several upcoming openings are planned in Shenandoah, and one new store has opened in a local shopping center.
  • Fan Outfitters: The sports gear store is open in Portofino Shopping Center at 19075 I-45, Ste. 113A, Shenandoah.
  • Kyuramen: The business at 8821 Metropark Drive will open around the end of September or early October, Mayner said. It will also feature Tbaar drinks.
  • K-Pot Korean BBQ and Hot Pot: The restaurant is coming to 17937 I-45, Ste. 115, in Sam Moon Shopping Center in spring 2025.
  • Spirit Halloween: The seasonal Halloween store will open in August in a former BuyBuy Baby location at 19075 I-45 N., Mayner said.
  • Game Show Battle Rooms: The interactive entertainment center will open later this month at 8980 Metropark Drive, Ste. 110, Mayner said in early August.
  • Escapology: The escape room will also open before the end of 2024 at 8870 Metropark Drive.
  • Brkthrough: The social entertainment venue, featuring high-tech challenge games, will open at Metropark Square before the end of 2024.
  • D1 Training: The fitness facility will open in Metropark Square in late 2024 or early 2025, Mayner said.
