The Howard Hughes Corp. on March 18 announced the sale of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center's The Woodlands treatment facility for $115 million.
In a statement, Howard Hughes said the transaction resulted in net proceeds of $64 million and was made as part of the company's efforts to sell its non-core assets amid its ongoing corporate transformation plan.
The sale of the 208,000-square-foot medical building comes months after MD Anderson first opened its new The Woodlands care center at 100 Fellowship Drive. The facility offers a variety of patient care and diagnostic services, in addition to access to some clinical trials. MD Anderson will remain in the building following its sale. 844-244-3417. www.mdanderson.org
