Cinemark announced it will begin reopening a select number of theaters across the country Aug. 14, including the Cinemark 17 and XD in The Woodlands.
According to a press release from Cinemark, guests will be invited back with "Comeback Classic" films at discounted prices at $5 for adult tickets and $3 tickets for children and seniors. Ticket sales begin the night of Aug. 7.
"All locations will reopen with greatly enhanced cleanliness, sanitizing and safety measures at every step of the moviegoing experience," the press release stated.
The press release also stated there are precautions in place for moviegoers, including staggered showtimes to encourage physical distancing, seat buffering that automatically blocks adjacent seats when purchasing a ticket online, mandatory face masks for guests, sanitation of public and high-touch spaces every 30 minutes, limited theater capacities, and seat wipes and sanitizer will be available for guest use.
