More homes were sold in Sugar Land- and Missouri City-area ZIP codes in May compared to last May, with 304 homes sold versus 289 last year. Additionally, more homes were sold than last month in April, when 258 homes were sold across five local ZIP codes.
Three of five local ZIP codes saw more home sales year over year, with ZIP code 77489 seeing more than a 121% increase in that time period. However, the ZIP code had one of the lower home sales—31 in May—compared to other ZIP codes, second only to ZIP code 77478 with 24 homes sold.The median home sales price rose in four of five local ZIP codes year over year. The largest spike was in ZIP code 77478, which saw a more than 29% increase. Overall, homes in the $250,000-$449,999 price range sold the most frequently in May.Meanwhile, the average number of days homes spent on the market increased in three of five local ZIP codes, signaling slower home sales in those ZIP codes. The highest average number of days on the market for the month was in ZIP code 77498 with 34 days.
