Missouri City officials are taking steps to address several roads that have reached the end of their useful lives.

What’s happening?

At a Jan. 5 meeting, Missouri City City Council voted 5-0 to approve a $599,526 design contract with GC Engineering to reconstruct Westwood Circle, Willowwind Circle, Evelyn Circle and Peachwood Drive. Mayor Robin Elackatt and District D council member Floyd Emery were absent for the vote.

In the Pavement Condition Index assessment performed by the city officials in 2020, the four streets were found inadequate and in need of safety and mobility improvements, according to agenda documents.
