Additional funds are set to support the over $15 million improvements coming to Missouri City’s Quail Valley Golf Club, which operates the La Quinta and El Dorado golf courses.

At a Nov. 17 meeting, Missouri City City Council unanimously approved a new contract and change order totaling $636,446 with Greenscapes Six LLC for additional La Quinta Golf Course improvements.

The new contract and changes build upon a $5.63 million contract approved in December 2024 to enhance course amenities, improve infrastructure, preserve city property and address drainage needs, Community Impact reported.

The details


A new $351,398 contract will fund restroom improvements, including the construction of new bathrooms at the seventh and 12th holes, the renovation of the third hole restroom and demolition of existing bathrooms, according to agenda documents. Hotel occupancy funds will support $223,300 of the renovations.

Meanwhile, a $285,047 change order will fund several items, including:
  • Installing 50 additional sprinkler heads for holes 7, 12 and 14
  • Installing cart path curbs at 5, 7, 11 and 12
  • Increasing the sodding of fairways 15, 16, 17 and 18
  • Increasing sprig rates for 15, 16, 17 and 18
  • Improving drainage at 11

In addition to La Quinta course improvements, the golf club will also see changes, including:
  • $1.01 million for 7-foot concrete paths and demolition of the halfway house—a building for golfers to take a break mid-course
  • $2.62 million for a new golf maintenance facility, which will house administrative offices and fuel tanks
  • $6 million for City Centre renovations, including kitchen and dining renovations, as well as additional event room seating

Upcoming golf course project milestones include:
  • December or January 2026: Golf course open to the public following grass grow-in
  • March 2026: Main bar and restaurant remodeling complete
  • Q1 2026: Golf maintenance facility completed
  • Spring 2026: City Centre fully opened and operational
