To usher in the holiday season, the city of Sugar Land is hosting a series of virtual and in-person events Dec. 1-12.

Virtual events will take place Monday through Thursday with in-person activities set for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at Sugar Land Town Square. Residents are invited to tune into virtual events on the Sugar Land Parks and Recreation Facebook page.

Furthermore, each night of the 12 Days of Christmas will conclude with a 15-minute Christmas tree lighting and holiday light show for guests in Town Square or to be watched live on Facebook. Light shows began at 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Parking and admission for in-person events is free. However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, attendance will be capped at 575 people per night, and social distancing will be enforced.

A detailed calendar of activities can be found online at www.sugarlandtx.gov/918/Christmas-Tree-Lighting. Events will be streamed at www.facebook.com/sugarlandparks.
