Democrat Grady Prestage has won a ninth term as Fort Bend County Precinct 2 commissioner, according to unofficial results.

With all 82 Fort Bend County polling locations reporting, Prestage received 60.8% of the vote, or 39,339, to Republican Melissa Wilson's 39.2%, or 25,402.

Prestage maintains a lead over Wilson with 60% of votes, at 33,755 votes, compared to 40%, or 22,412 votes, following early voting.

According to unofficial results, Democrat Grady Prestage leads the election for Fort Bend County Commissioner Precinct 2 with 61%, or 29,453 votes, to Republican Melissa M. Wilson’s 39%, or 18,993 votes, in early voting results.

A victory would mean Prestage’s eighth re-election since he took office in 1990.
