Fort Bend ISD will host a recruiting event April 6 for all district positions, including teachers, administrators, office staff and support services, according to a news release.

With more than 11,000 full-time employees, the district is the largest employer in Fort Bend County, according to the district website. It has 83 campuses, including 12 high schools, 15 middle schools, 51 elementary campuses and five specialty schools.

In addition, FBISD is experiencing continued growth in the northwest, southeast and central areas of the district, according to the website. To meet the demand, the district is repairing existing schools as well as providing funds for new schools from the 2018 and 2023 bonds.

The following new projects are are projected to be completed within two years:
  • Elementary School No. 52 in the Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road area scheduled for 2024
  • Middle School No. 16 in the southeast area in the FM 521 corridor scheduled for 2025
  • Elementary School No. 55 in the Harvest Green area scheduled for 2025

The event will be held from 9 a.m.-noon at Travis High School, 11111 Harlem Road, Richmond, per the district release.

During the event, hiring managers from campuses and departments will be on-site to meet with candidates in on-site interviews, and qualified candidates may be eligible for immediate job offers.
