During Fort Bend ISD Superintendent Charles Dupre's annual summative evaluation Oct. 28, the board of trustees voted to extend his contract with the district through April 2024, according to a district press release. This is a one-year extension of Dupre's existing contract.

"The contract extension is a vote of confidence in Dr. Dupre," Board President Jason Burdine said in the release. "We are fortunate to have Dr. Dupre's leadership as the district navigates the many challenges associated with teaching students during the ongoing pandemic."

Dupre has been FBISD's superintendent since April 2013. A copy of Dupre's amended contract is available on the district's website.
