Many Fort Bend ISD schools are using their marquee signs to display messages of hope or to share ways for students and families to stay up to date on school news.

While the coronavirus pandemic led Fort Bend ISD to announce April 14 that students will finish the year online, many campuses have not updated their signs.

The district previously canceled in-person classes through May 4.

The photos seen in the gallery above were taken April 16. Although school campuses, parking lots and playgrounds throughout the district were without students and staff that day, many campuses had construction crews active and on-site.

FBISD Chief Operations Officer Oscar Perez said at a recent school board meeting the district has begun construction projects previously slated for the summer.
