Reminder: Fort Bend ISD students off for winter break Dec. 20-Jan. 3

Fort Bend ISD's winter break is Dec. 20-Jan. 3. Students will return for the start of the second semester and third nine weeks Jan. 7.

Winter break is right around the corner. Here is a quick reminder of when Fort Bend ISD schools will be closed.

Middle school and high school students have an early release day Wednesday, Dec. 18, and all grade levels have early release on Thursday, Dec. 19.

Friday, Dec. 20, is the first day of winter break, and FBISD students will be off through New Year's, with the last day of winter break falling on Jan. 3. Monday, Jan. 6, is a student holiday and a professional learning day for teachers.

The first day of the second semester and third nine weeks is Tuesday, Jan. 7.

In November, FBISD released two proposed school calendars for the 2020-21 school year. The district collected public comment on these calendar options, but next year’s school calendar has not yet been finalized.
