Family-owned restaurant El Fogon Mexican Kitchen opened its doors this year in Sugar Land.

What’s special about it?

The restaurant provides a “dining experience that feels like home” through a traditional menu crafted by knowledgeable chefs, weekly live shows featuring local musicians, and a welcoming staff, according to the website.

El Fogon shares management with partner restaurant El Patron Grill in Humble, Sugar Land manager Soly Carrillo said.

On the menu

The menu features tacos, fajitas, tamales, seafood and ribeye dishes infused with Tex-Mex influences. In addition to a specialty cocktail menu, there is also a happy hour for house margaritas and domestic beer on weekdays from 2-6 p.m., according to the website.
