La Cocina De TJ opened in July, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in Missouri City.
Esparza said everything is made from scratch at the Mexican eatery—the coffee beans are ground fresh, the tortillas are handmade and the agua frescas are made with seasonal fruits.
On the menu
The menu features the taco stand's popular birria tacos, while also introducing birria mac and cheese—a dish Esparza said isn't being done elsewhere in Houston.
La Cocina De TJ will also sell a variety of breakfast tacos and other Mexican dinner entrees.
