Gyro Republic, a Houston-based restaurant, will open its fourth location and first franchise in Missouri City, according to a June 11 news release from the company.

On the menu

Gyro Republic offers customizable New York City-style gyros featuring cubed meat—versus the traditional sliced meat—and a mayo-based sauce, according to the business’ website. It also offers rice bowls, salads, pita sandwiches and loaded fries.

About the owner

The eatery, located in Fort Bend Town Center Phase II, is owned by franchisees Ahmer Ali and Ejas Hussein, and the company is owned by Rehan Ranpuri. Ranpuri said he hopes to open four to six additional franchise locations this year, according to the news release.
