Missouri City set to put finishing touches on La Quinta Golf Course

The initial $5.63 million contract, which was approved in December 2024, aimed to enhance course amenities, improve infrastructure, preserve city property and address drainage needs, Community Impact reported.

Additional funds were approved at a Nov. 17 meeting, where Missouri City City Council added a new contract and change order totaling $636,446 for additional improvements, including restrooms.

In addition to La Quinta course improvements, other changes include:

• Addition of 7-foot concrete paths and demolition of the halfway house—a building for golfers to take a break mid-course ($1.01 million)
• A new golf maintenance facility, which will house administrative offices and fuel tanks ($2.62 million)
• City Centre renovations, including kitchen and dining renovations, as well as additional event room seating ($6 million)

The pavilion will be ready for opening March 10, while the golf course and clubhouse will be ready between April 15 and May 15, depending on weather and grass conditions, city officials said in an email.
