A new 4,700-acre master-planned community will be coming to Fort Bend County, with a groundbreaking date scheduled for the second quarter of this year.

Austin Point, from The Woodlands developer Signorelli Co., will be located at the future intersection of the Grand Parkway and Fort Bend Parkway with an entrance that will be located at FM 762 south of Hwy. 69 and George Ranch High School, according to a Jan. 20 news release.

“We are excited to bring new development to the area and help satisfy strong demand for quality places to live, work and play,” Signorelli founder and CEO Danny Signorelli said in the news release. “Fort Bend County is one of the fastest-growing counties in America, and we look forward to be a part of this growth.”

When completed, Austin Point will contain over 14,000 single-family homes with 15 million square feet of multifamily, office, medical, retail and hospitality covering price points from the $270,000s to over $600,000s, according to the release.

The community will focus on the outdoors, green space and nature with an array of natural amenities, and hundreds of acres of green space and lakes, Signorelli said in the release. Quality of life will be another focus of the community.
