The Mahj Society builds mahjong community in Sugar Land

The Mahj Society is now offering insight to American mahjong in Sugar Land, owner Anna Haller confirmed.

What they offer

The studio, which also serves as a boutique for mahjong products and hosting supplies, offers a number of open play and league options as well as learning opportunities, according to its website.

Class options include:

• Mahj 101
• Mahj 102
• Bootcamp, which is Mahj 101 and Mahj 102 together

The business also offers private events for birthday parties, graduations and anniversaries at the studio or in homes, Haller said. Corporate team building events and fundraisers are also available.
