Austin-based medical cannabis provider Texas Original has a new Houston-area prescription pickup site located in Sugar Land, as well as a new line of products.

The details

Located within the Rophe Wellness and Weight Loss center on Eldridge Road, patients can pick up medical cannabis as well as Texas Original's new 20 milligram pineapple gummies, a THC-only product made with Rick Simpson Oil, or RSO, according to a March 27 news release from the company.

This is the first medical marijuana dispenser within Fort Bend County, the release claims.

Medical cannabis can be prescribed in Texas to treat conditions such as spasticity, neuropathy, PTSD, cancer, epilepsy and hundreds of neurodegenerative disorders, per the news release. Texans can obtain medical cannabis prescriptions through online clinics or local physicians registered with the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas.

“We’re grateful for the opportunity to provide improved access to thousands of patients in Fort Bend County and offer them a wider range of products to help treat symptoms associated with conditions like cancer and PTSD,” Richardson said in the release.
