Northwest Assistance Ministries launched its 40th anniversary fundraising campaign to address critical building maintenance and the increasing demand for services, according to a June 21 news release.

NAM is a community-based social service agency dedicated to providing assistance in areas including food, shelter, health, education, and domestic violence awareness and intervention.

NAM ensures 85-90 cents of every dollar raised directly goes toward program costs, demonstrating its commitment to its mission, according to the news release.

However, officials noted prioritizing service provision has led to deferred building repairs, including roof and heating, ventilation and air conditioning upgrades. To overcome these challenges, the 40th anniversary campaign aims to raise $500,000 to meet maintenance needs and address the organization’s growing demand for services.

“Many times, nonprofits put the little things aside to focus on providing services,” Chief Advancement Officer Brian Carr said in a statement. “If not careful, the small things put aside can add up and become a roadblock to providing those needed services. This campaign looks to prevent these roadblocks from happening at NAM.”

NAM is open to engaging in discussions with interested parties to further understand the requirements.
